Dance with Me

I am standing on my rooftop gazing at stars, the air is so clean today. I feel freshness standing on the edge of the handrail. There is absolute silence and midnight is fast approaching, the sky is lit up with the crescent moon and I can see the dark blue sky for the first time in days.

A chilly wind is blowing and after rain, the effect is still dominant in the air. It rained heavily this morning and it had begun to snow in the northern region.

The stars are twinkling, and I see them winking at me. I was always a sucker for bright sunny days and sunsets, for the first time I realized, nights are not black but deep dark blue and oh so beautiful.

A strong chilly breeze brushes my hair off the face. There are still some Christmas lights around. The world was abuzz with noise, laughter, giggling, happiness and now people have crawled back inside and there is deafening silence, a relaxed one, people really have enjoyed their Christmas at home.

I am happy and for the first time in so many days, I want to dance to the night alone, with my favorite slow sweet songs. I plug in the songs and I dance to the beats, happy. My shadow clearly visible on the pavement under the moon light.

I am swirling around and I see a girl looking at me from the rooftop across the street.

I casual ripple and try to look closely and she is actually looking at me. I look around all the houses in the sight and there is no one except this pretty stranger looking at me. I continue my spin and now I dance with some extra cool moves, hoping she could see them in this clear blue night and from so much across.

There is again sudden gush of air, her hair flutter in the wind and I see her pretty face. I havent seen anybody in the neighbourhood much. I didnt know her.

She turns around and starts whirling, her soft silky hair, playing against the wind, she is playing with the air and her neck along with her hair moves dancing their way near her like a lovestruck angel.

I keep looking at her until she smiles and her teeth show. I can see her laughing and she drops her hands and touches her feet, her hair touching the ground and she lifts herself in the air, with a beautifully arched back, and swirls breathing the clear night air. I am amazed.

I look at her and I can’t take my eyes off. She is dancing on every edge of her house rooftop, moving her hands, shaking her body. There is shimmering blue darkness in the corner and I see her disappearing in and out of the shadows.

I start dancing with her on my rooftop, her happiness is contagious. I feel the warmth in the air, dancing like a cupid arrow stuck in me, covering every corner of my rooftop, I see dazzling Christmas lights, the moon, the stars, my heartbeats have picked up the pace. I see her enjoying her little moves, I look at her and I imitate her.

I am feeling love in my blood, and seeing her has made my heart mushy. I dance to the rhythm, falling to the floor and I feel you in my arms, your heartbeats on my chest. I embrace you and your silky hair covering your face. I remove them and catch you breathing heavily on my face, your warmth touching my cheeks, your eyes, your beautiful eyes looking at me and I lost in them. I come closer to you with my lips on yours and you are mine.
